Our Accessibility Policy –
This site uses accessibility features and plugins in order to create an accessible site experience for the largest possible group of internet users, using any devices or assistive technologies. We understand that internet users are extremely diverse and operate with the understanding that everyone deserves equal access on the internet.
To ensure that this site offers that fully accessible experience, site accessibility features and standards were developed in accordance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, version 2.2, as recommended by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) on October 5th, 2023.
The recommended standards include four principles with 13 unique guidelines. The principles that lead the guidelines state that a site must be designed, lead by the following features:
-
- Perceivable, meaning that visitors must be able to perceive and be clearly aware of content and information on the site.
- Operable, meaning that visitors must be able to operate every part of the site without obstacles.
- Understandable, meaning that all content on the site is clear, concisely written and easy to understand. It also means that pages should be uncluttered, for easy access to necessary information.
- Robust, meaning that the HTML code should be easily read and interpreted by all visitors.
To learn more about the exact guidelines used to design this website, please check out WGAC 2.2. In seeking to follow these principles, this site was designed to conform to AA and AAA success criteria, as possible, and is continually updated as more accessibility options are made available. Because WordPress sites are not usually accessible by default, this site uses two plugins to expand the site’s accessibility options, including One Click Accessibility, and Equalize Digital Accessibility Checker – Audit Your Website for WCAG, ADA, and Section 508 Accessibility Errors. This site is also regularly audited to ensure that this site is continually conforming and complying to global accessibility legislation and guidelines.
If you have any comments on how we can make site content more accessible, or have questions, please reach out to us directly using the contact form at the bottom of the home page. We are happy to make changes, and always interested in providing the best site experience.
